We stopped for a dip in Lake Michigan while we were in Indiana. The water was lovely and so were the dunes, but what's that in the background? Oh yes, a nuclear power plant. It made for an ominous swimming experience.

We've been fishing there. The water is always much warmer right near the power plant. I guess it has been warmed while cooling the nuclear process, but somehow safe enough to pour back out into the lake.
Have the tar balls gotten that far north yet?
What's a little nuclear waste among friends? We just heard that there's nuclear waste in Cochiti Lake here in New Mexico.....
FYI--that's a cooling tower, but not for a nuclear power plant. It's a coal-fired one.
